Line Cook

The Middle Gray is an exciting new café, restaurant and bar that just opened in Brookline Village. Lead by young artists turned entrepreneurs, the concept is unique, fun, professional and innovative. By day, the business operates as a café with a forward coffee and breakfast program. By night, The MiddleGray becomes a seated restaurant with the bar a prominent piece of attraction. The menu offers South American influenced dishes in the form of sandwiches, salads and small plates, as well as highlight specialty items such as arepas and empanadas.

Additional to the food and beverage programs, The Middle Gray hosts a series of special events throughout the year focused on supporting and celebrating the arts. With a small art gallery and performance stage, the restaurant serves as an outlet for local up-and-coming artists by exhibiting their work and showcasing their talent.

Line cooks candidates will be trained in the line and as café staff and they must be willing to work day and night time shifts. Barista

The Barista will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service to our guests. They will have locally sourced, high quality coffee and coffee related products at their disposition to prepare classic drinks. The MiddleGray Gallery/Café is looking into offering its own family grown coffee as a specialty item.

We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated and have experience in the hospitality industry. Applicants need to have a strong sense of teamwork, a commitment to exceptional service and willingness to go the extra mile for both guests and their co-workers. They have to provide warm and welcoming service to our guests, be enthusiastic, hard-working, possess strong guest service skills, and be able to work in a professional environment as well as be able to multi-task and perform under pressure. Punctuality and professionalism are a must. Barista candidates will be trained in the espresso and brew bars, as café staff and as servers, and they must be willing to work day and night time shifts. Café Staff/Server

Candidates for this position have to be willing to work mornings and nights shifts and they will be trained as Café Staff, Server and Barita. Café Staff will provide warm and welcoming counter service to our guests in the morning and early afternoon hours, and at night Servers will provide table service and should be enthusiastic about learning and sharing their knowledge for the food and beverages we serve. We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated and have experience in the hospitality industry.
